I have decided to create more Anime acrylic paintings since this seems to be the most favourite out of feedbacks I have received. So The original Three Kimonos is probably one of my best works as well. I don’t think I have ever spent so much time on a painting! Since I find myself completely artsy when I did that piece, I have decided to make plans and create more panel pieces of girls in kimonos. I think there is going to be a little bit of difference this time.
When I created the Three Kimonos, I was looking at a lot of references to be able to come up with those paintings. I had to look up girls in kimonos on Google just so that I could get an idea on how the anime girls are going to look like. Now that I have been indulging myself in anime quite a lot, I have sort of developed my own style. I’m not too sure if it is going to be as good as Three Kimonos, but nothing beats originality.
So here are my next plans…
I have only got two sketches for now… I don’t think I’m going to do a 3 panel just now though. I may just stick to one piece at a time. The only thing that I would try and do is put as much effort on each painting! Maybe one panel can stand out just as well without having all 3 different girls together!
So anyway, I have set myself a deadline for one piece. I intend to create one big painting and for this to be completed within the next two weeks on 29.01.2012 . That does sound like a really long time from now but I need to give myself some lee way since I do have a full time job which takes up most of my day. *sighs* I do pray that one day I can be a successful artist and paint for a living and actually earn enough to survive! I might get into that and that is a completely different story!!! Anyway, that’s it for now!
